Go to the DStv website:
Visit DStv's official website.
Sign In:
Click on the Login button in the top right corner.
Enter your DStv account credentials (Email and password) or Mobile number if you have linked that to your account.
Select Your Package:
Once logged in, ensure your package and payment are up to date.
Go to the "My DStv" or "DStv Now" Section:
If you want to access live streaming or On Demand content, go to DStv Now and follow the activation prompts.
Activate the Device:
For certain devices, such as Smart TVs or streaming boxes, you’ll be prompted to enter an activation code that appears on your screen. Go to the activation URL, typically https://now.dstv.com/activate, and enter the code
Download the DStv App:
Android: Get it from the Google Play Store.
iOS (iPhone/iPad): Get it from the Apple App Store.
Sign In:
Open the app, and log in with your DStv account details (email/phone number and password).
Activate DStv Now:
Once logged in, you should have access to live TV, On Demand, and Catch Up content.
If you're using a smart device like a Chromecast or Apple TV, follow the on-screen instructions for activation.
Download the DStv App:
For most Smart TVs, go to your TV’s app store (Samsung Smart Hub, LG Content Store, etc.) and download the DStv app or DStv Now app.
Launch the App:
After the installation, launch the DStv app on your TV.
Login on the TV App:
You’ll likely need to enter your DStv account credentials (email and password).
Alternatively, the app may provide an activation code on your screen.
Activate the Device:
On a separate device (like a mobile phone or computer), go to https://now.dstv.com/activate.
Enter the activation code displayed on your TV screen.
Once entered, the TV screen should refresh, granting you access to DStv content.
If you’re using a physical DStv decoder:
Set Up the Decoder:
Make sure your DStv decoder is connected to your TV and the internet (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
Activate Using Your Smart Card:
The decoder may automatically prompt you to sign in or activate your account when it connects to the DStv network.
If not, you can do this by logging into the DStv self-service portal and using the Smart Card number to activate the decoder.
Activation Process:
After successful login, your decoder should be activated and ready to stream DStv content.
Check Subscription: Make sure your DStv subscription is active and paid for, as an inactive account can prevent activation.
Ensure Stable Internet: A good internet connection is required for streaming. Check your Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Device Compatibility: Ensure your device (smart TV, smartphone, streaming box) is compatible with the DStv app or service.
Clear App Cache: If you're facing issues with the app, try clearing the app cache or reinstalling it.
DStv Support: If you're unable to activate your device, contact DStv support for more help.
